FREE PAYROLL SOFTWARE FOR MALAYSIAN COMPANIES

We are a couple of HR people who also happen to enjoy programming in our free time. Unlike the U.S. company in Redmond, Washington, which uses software as a mean to first suck you in and then squeeze you out of your last cent, we just like the great challenges (but not the frustration!) that programming brings us and treat it as a hobby :)

Closer to home, that's Malaysia by the way, we detest the unethical way local payroll software vendors force us to sign support agreements by hardcoding/hiding simple calculation parameters such as EPF contribution rates, PCB tables, etc.

We think that TW-Pay (that's our surname initials in case it escapes you) offers straightforward features that let you do your job simply and correctly, full stop. If you are looking for a fancy system with lots of purpose-built graphics, web interface, "over 1000 payment codes" etc. etc., go elsewhere and fall into the dark hole we mentioned!!!

The following features are available: -

  • unlimited allowance codes, deduction codes and contribution codes with user-defined behaviour for each
  • foreign workers
  • multi-company
  • pay-slips
  • auto-pay for some banks
  • internal management reports
  • etc. etc. (download to see)
  • Obviously, we won't go to your place to help you install or troubleshoot problems. (Hey, we are not asking any money from you!) However, if you take some time and RTFM (something to do with reading manuals, please excuse our French!), coupled with some common sense and perhaps intuition (!), you will find that installing, configuring, using and troubleshooting are simpler than you think. And of course, having earlier screwed the "industry leaders", we have built in much flexibility in terms of formulas and rates. DIY. Nonetheless, we will be more than glad to answer any e-mail enquiries, and if the same questions keep cropping up, you might just see a FAQ appearing in no time at all.

To take a look at TW-Pay/try it/use it, please click here and fill in some information. Do be assured that your information will not be used by us for any monetary gain, i.e. we don't have a parallel e-commerce site, nor will we sell it to other people. We ask for the information because we would like to know who have received our baby. The best part of being free is, if you don't like it, you don't lose anything for simply chucking it away.
